Get Stuffed; Have you seen the price of food?
2025, brass, copper, garnet, enamel paint, 60 x 15mm, 400 mm chain length
Photography by Chris Bowes.
ARTIST STATEMENT
ELENI LINOU
This piece utilises movement to depict an olive being stuffed as 4 garnets slide down a rail inside the olive. The metals and materials are far from precious with brass and copper creating the structure and chain, although the iconography of food is often overlooked and in today’s economy the inflation of food is extreme.
So, I will pass it back to you. Have you seen the price of food?
